Market Dumps Ahead of Weekend; Bitcoin Dips to 0K, Ethereum Falls Below ,500


Following the feud between Donald Trump and Elon Musk, the crypto market took a sharp downturn today, which caused Bitcoin to dip as low as $100,501 during late trading hours in the US session. Accompanying the leader, the majority of the altcoins declined notably, with Ethereum losing the $2,500 ground.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading near $104,060—steadily gaining 3% from the daily low it set earlier today. The 24-hour trading volume of Bitcoin has surged by 51% to $62.79 billion—as of CoinMarketCap data. 

After briefly touching the $2,400 mark, the Ethereum (ETH) price bounced with steady gains, but it is still down 5.68% in the past 24 hours. However, the overall bullish sentiment around Ethereum has sustained as it continues rising quickly in reversal. At the time of writing, it is hovering near $2,478, having a daily trading volume of $29.05 billion. 

Among major movers, Fartcoin is at the top of all as it soars nearly 16% on the Coinbase listing announcement. It is followed by FLOKI, TRX, and RAY, with nearly 2% gains. On the losing side, STX is leading with a 13% decrease, which is followed by LDO, TRUMP, and JUP’s 9% drop in the past 24 hours. 

The overall market sentiment remains giving mixed signals today, with some analysts expecting sharp gains in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other leading crypto assets while others are critical and anticipate further downside ahead of the weekend.
