Kyndryl Launches New Agentic AI Digital Trust Service

Key Takeaways:

  • Kyndryl introduces Agentic AI Digital Trust to secure and govern autonomous AI agents.
  • The service offers centralized control, compliance, and risk management for AI deployments.
  • It integrates with existing systems and major cloud platforms for seamless adoption.

Kyndryl has announced the launch of its new Agentic AI Digital Trust service. This new offering helps organizations securely scale autonomous AI agents across complex hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

This Agentic AI Digital Trust service is designed to fill the gap between the fast rise of AI adoption and the slower development of security, governance, and trust controls. A recent Kyndryl Readiness Report found that 68% of companies are heavily investing in AI, and 61% feel increasing pressure to demonstrate returns on these investments.

According to Kyndryl, the use of unregulated AI agents can introduce potential security threats. The service provides a centralized “control center” to implement governance mechanisms, particularly in regulated industries where data security, compliance, and classification are important.

“While agentic AI unlocks powerful new capabilities, it can also introduce new and potentially unpredictable security challenges when not governed properly,” said Kris Lovejoy, Global Security and Resiliency Leader, Kyndryl. “As AI agents become more sophisticated and increasingly embedded across the enterprise, organizations need clear guardrails to govern and manage them responsibly. Kyndryl Agentic AI Digital Trust helps customers build trust and resilience into their AI agent deployments so that innovation is governed, resilient and enterprise-ready.”

What are the core features of the Agentic AI Digital Trust Service?

The Agentic AI Digital Trust service focuses on creating a secure and well-governed environment for autonomous AI agents. Its security and transparency-oriented architecture ensures that AI agents operate within defined safety parameters. The solution works alongside enterprises’ existing security systems and supports major cloud platforms, which makes adoption easier without disrupting established workflows.

Additionally, the service offers lifecycle governance tools that cover every stage of AI agent management, from discovery and registration to testing, certification, and policy enforcement. These tools also enable continuous auditing, compliance reporting, threat detection, and proactive risk management.

The Agentic AI Digital Trust service leverages Microsoft technologies, including Fabric IQ, Fabric Digital Twin Builder, and Fabric Real-Time Intelligence, to model business processes and assets. This capability should help to enhance trust, compliance, and governance for AI deployments.

Kyndryl has recently rolled out mainframe-focused agentic AI services that integrate the new Digital Trust framework to modernize legacy IBM z/OS systems. These services are designed to resolve platform issues faster, streamline software lifecycle compliance, and alleviate skills shortages.
